Holly Legg, APRN grew up in Greensburg, KS and has called Dodge City home since 2006.  Growing up around her Grandfathers Pharmacy, Hunter Drug paired with daily visits to Hill Top House Nursing home with her Grandmother McCormick, inspired Holly to start a career in healthcare beginning as a CNA at the age of 17.  Her nursing journey continued by earning her Associates Degree of Nursing, Registered Nurse from Lamar Community College and her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Kansas in 2006.  Her nursing career includes experience in community health care, Home Health and Hospice, and over ten years of critical care and nursing supervisor experience.  In 2017, Holly advanced her nursing education by earning her Masters of Science and Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Walden University. Holly worked as Dr. Moffitt's nurse while she earned her nurse practitioner degree and spent many hours mentoring under him as a student.

Faith and Family are very important to Holly. She enjoys getting to know her patients and their families.  She strives to help her patients find their best physical and mental health.  Holly's own personal journey with infertility and raising a son with Autism Spectrum Disorder has created a passion and dedication to women's health and pediatrics.

Holly is married to Matt. They have two children, Bradyn and McKinley, and two German shepherds.  Matt is a behavioral consultant for the 613 special education co-op. Holly is a co-founder of Perfect Fit Foundation, an organization focused on increasing services and opportunities for children and families with special needs and disabilities throughout Western Kansas. Holly enjoys volunteering, and serves on several boards and committees in the community.  Holly and her family enjoy all sports and spending time with family and friends.

About Dr. Moffitt

Dr. James Moffitt grew up in Washington, KS and is the youngest of seven. He graduated from Washington High School and continued his education at McPherson College as well as Kansas State University. Dr. Moffitt earned 3 degrees in Biology, Chemistry, and Animal Science Production before moving onto a Masters in Science and Education. He was a professor at K-State for a period of time.

Throughout Dr. Moffitt’s post high school years, he felt God calling him torwards medicine, but wasn’t sure if it was animal or human. He decided to apply to KU medical school and started his first day on his 33rd birthday.

Throughout medical school, it became clear to Dr. Moffitt that there wasn’t a part of medicine he didn’t like and decided that Family Medicine was the perfect fit. This lead him and his family to Dodge City, KS in 2001.

Dr. Moffitt married his wife Deb in the spring of 1985 and together they have four children. Deb is a clinical social who completed her Masters at the University of Kansas.

Together, they opened Family Care Clinic of Western Kansas in 2010 when they felt God calling them to open this practice. Currently, Dr. Moffitt is the medical director for TeamHealth at Western Plains Medical Complex, ER; Medical Director of Ford County & Gray Country EMS; the 16th Judicial District Coroner for 6 counties; and one of only 3 physicians in Dodge City that delivers babies.
